Bio

Guido Andrea Longhitano, a manager and freelance photojournalist, was born in Rapallo, Italy. Since 2016, he also holds Slovak citizenship. After completing his studies at the Faculty of Law (University of Genoa), and having worked in maritime law in offices in Genoa, in the City of London, and in Sacramento, California, he has lived and worked in Poprad since 2002, where he started a family and is the father of a son, Guido.

He serves as the director of two manufacturing companies. From the age of thirteen, he has been a passionate photographer. In his efforts to contribute to the communities in which he lives, he has volunteered with the emergency medical services in Italy (earning gold and silver medals for his service on ambulances) and as a volunteer firefighter during his time in California. He actively contributes to creating a better future for society.

He has published five books:

He contributed photographs to the book Saint Sebastian Cathedral (2018) by Mons. František Rábek et al. He has created four national photographic calendars. His work has been showcased in nine exhibitions and several events in Slovakia and the Czech Republic, and his projects have been featured in several national TV reports.
